During the first three years of her employment she was employed as a Machine Operator where she was subjected to excessive noise from the winding machines that she operated.
Mr Cheeseman wins £4000 payout after working from 1959-1981 starting as a Junior Labourer and working his way up to Mill Controller at Appleby Frodingham (now Corus) in Scunthorpe. He was exposed to excessive noise and this caused him to lose some of his hearing.
