WE Solicitors managed to obtain £3,000 compensation for Ms Jane Bottomley from Heywood. Ms Bottomley was employed by Mutual Mills, which later became know as Lister Yarns, from approximately 1987 to 2002. During the first three years of her employment she was employed as a Machine Operator where she was subjected to excessive noise from the winding machines that she operated.
Medical evidence was obtained from a Consultant ENT Surgeon who confirmed that Ms Bottomely was suffering with mild deafness which was noise induced.
Although Ms Bottomely suffered only a moderate loss and does not suffer with tinnitus, WE Solicitors were still able to obtain compensation for her.
