WE Solicitors recently represented Mr B who, from the mid 1980’s, was employed by industrial cleaning companies. The companies were called Newlife Cleaning Systems Ltd and Universal Engineer Consultants Limited. The latter were a demolition, decommissioning and decontamination company based in Barnard Castle, County Durham.
WE Solicitors LLP have recently successfully represented a former British Steel worker from Scunthorpe who suffered noise induced hearing loss and tinnitus arising out his employment.
Mr C contacted WE Solicitors about a claim for noise induced hearing loss, having been exposed during the course of his employment with The Metropolitan Construction Company Limited, from the late 60’s to mid 70’s. Mr C was employed as an Operative and later a Driver Operative with the Company. His main role was to break up concrete floors, reduce concrete, dig trenches in concrete and scarify concrete walls. He was exposed to the noise from not only the work he was doing but that of his colleagues.
