WE Solicitors have successfully represented a former employee of G Ratcliffe & Sons (Felts) Ltd of Shackleton Street, Burnley, Lancashire. He was employed during 1985/86, 1988/89 and then again from 1995 to 1998. He was employed on each occasion as a loom man and was exposed to the noise of the loom machinery, used to manufacture carpets.

WE Solicitors are campaigning to raise the awareness of tinnitus which is a medical condition which causes a buzzing, whistling or whooshing sound in the ear. The noise is most obvious at night but can be persistent throughout the day.

The statistics for men and women suffering some form of hearing loss in the UK should give real cause for concern. It is too readily assumed that the advance of research, awareness, technology and legislation had solved most of the circumstances that give rise to widespread noise induced hearing loss.
