Noise induced hearing loss sufferer, Mrs M G Heyes, wins settlement of £2,500.00 through WE Solicitors.

Mrs Heyes was exposed to excessive levels of noise, whilst working in the light bulb manufacturing industry for a period of around 22 years. Mrs Heyes worked for Osram (GEC) Ltd of Refuge Street, Shaw, Lancashire. She was employed as a machine operator throughout and exposed to the noise of pump machines, conveyor belts, cap baker machines, testing machines, sealing-in machines, coating machines, flange machines and pinch machines.

Former Textile Worker Receives Compensation for Industrial Deafness.

Mrs A was exposed to excessive levels of noise, whilst working in the weaving industry for a period of over 7 years. During this time, Mrs A was employed by Booth & Speak (Textiles) Ltd of Spring Mill, Earby, S Pickles & Sons Ltd of Barnoldswick, Wm Uttley Ltd of Glenfield Mill, Nelson and Walverden Mill Co Ltd of Brook Street, Nelson. Her employment with these companies fell variously between the years of 1965 and 1980.

Mrs Linda Jones wins settlement of just over £4,300.00 in total, through WE Solicitors, for noise induced hearing loss.

Mrs Jones was exposed to excessive levels of noise, whilst working for Rotile Ltd, which was a small company, manufacturing roof tiles. Mrs Jones was employed at the site at Monastery Road Business Centre, West Glamorgan, between the years 1992 to 1994. She was employed as a machine operator throughout this period and exposed to the noise of machinery used for pressing out the tiles and machinery for mixing the tile material.
