MARGARET WOODCOCK OBTAINS £2000.00 COMPENSATION FOR WORK RELATED HEARING LOSS

WE Solicitors have secured £2000.00 for Margaret Woodcock from Wigan, who suffers with work related hearing loss. Mrs. Woodcock has developed occupational deafness over a period of several years, working as a Battery Filler and Reed Cleaner at Bradley Mill, whilst employed by Carrington & Dewhurst Limited.

Mrs. Woodcock recalls being exposed to excessive noise levels, as a result of the noise produced by the old wooden shuttle looms and the new water jet looms.

WE Solicitors succeeded by obtaining supportive medical evidence, confirming Mrs. Woodcock is suffering with noise induced hearing loss.

Mrs. Woodcock said, “Mt hearing has gradually been deteriorating, which I put down to the affects of ageing. I need the television turned up to a high volume and I have difficulty following conversations, needing words and sentences repeating, especially when there is background noise or I am with a group of people. I did not personally think I had a problem, but my daughter is forever complaining that I’m going deaf.”

Mrs. Woodcock was happy with the successful conclusion of her case.
