Mr Bowers wins  £2319.20 payout after working initially as an Apprentice Riveter and as a Crane Driver for Appleby Frodingham/ British Steel/ Corus at the site in Brigg Road, Scunthorpe.  He was exposed to excessive noise from the the beginning of his employment in 1953 up until he was provided with hearing protection in or around 1973

WE Solicitors managed to obtain £6,500 for Mr John Stretch from Atherton

WE Solicitors managed to obtain £6,500 for Mr John Stretch from Atherton. Mr Stretch was employed by Ingersoll-Rand in Hindley Green from approximately 1977 until 2001. For the first 7 years of his employment, Mr Stretch worked as a Spindle Driller where he was exposed to excessive noise from spindle drills and a gun drill. Hearing protection was not provided whilst Mr Stretch worked as a Spindle Driller.
