Compensation of £5,000 for Noise Induced Hearing Loss Sustained Whilst Working as a Refuse and Recylcing Loader for Rochadle Metropolitain Borough Council.

Mr R was exposed to excessive levels of noise, whilst working for Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council, for a period of over 7 years. Mr R has been employed as a refuse and recycling loader, based at the Green Lane site in Heywood, Lancashire. During this time, he has been exposed to excessive noise daily, from the refuse and recycling wagons. In particular, the noise of refuse and recycling materials hitting the metal wagon wells and then being crushed.

Noise Induced Hearing Loss Sufferer, Mr Patrick Walsh, Wins Settlement through WE Solicitors.

Mr Walsh was exposed to excessive levels of noise, whilst working in the engineering industry for a period of around 2 years. Mr Walsh worked for Richard White & Sons (Engineers) Ltd, of Ditton Road, Widnes, Cheshire. He was employed as a machinist throughout and exposed to the noise of the blacksmith’s forge, planer machinery, cutting machinery, milling machinery, bending machinery, steam hammers, radial arm drills, to name but a few.
