Mrs D was exposed to excessive levels of noise, whilst working for Lamp Caps from 1956 to 1958 at their premises based in Chesterfield. She was employed as a Machine Operator/Inspector and exposed to the noise of machines used to make the lamp caps and hoppers for the duration of her shifts.

He was employed as a Painter and Decorator in the Maintenance Gang and exposed to the noise of pulpers, potchers, beaters, paper making machines and many others.
Mr Eaton started work at Hawker Siddeley on Greengate, Chadderton in 1972 as an apprentice fitter. The company was taken over and later became British Aerospace and what is now BAE Systems. He continued to work there until 2005.
