Mr P was exposed to excessive levels of noise, whilst working for a company called Applied Fusion based in Prescot Lancashire and was employed a metal fabricator. The company made ships vessels and large metal structures both in the workshop in Prescot and on site. He was employed as a Welder and fabricator in the factory. The claimant worked in confined spaces welding metal plates together and he was often exposed to excessive levels of noise throughout his apprenticeship and subsequent employment.

Mr A was exposed to excessive levels of noise, whilst working in the construction industry for a period of over 20 years. Mr A worked for Teesdale Surfacing (Paving Contractors) Ltd. He was employed as a Block Paver and exposed to the noise of whacker plates and Stihl saws for long periods of the day.

Mr J was exposed to excessive levels of noise, whilst working for Cammel Laird & Co Ltd for a period of over 5 years. The company made large ships and vessels. He was employed as a Welder in the factory and on the slipway. The claimant worked in confined spaces welding metal plates together. He also worked alongside other tradesmen including boiler men and caulkers who were hammering assemblies together. He was exposed to excessive and constant noise throughout his employment.
