Former Welder Receives £5,000 in Compensation for Hearing Loss.

Mr J was exposed to excessive levels of noise, whilst working for Cammel Laird & Co Ltd for a period of over 5 years. The company made large ships and vessels. He was employed as a Welder in the factory and on the slipway. The claimant worked in confined spaces welding metal plates together. He also worked alongside other tradesmen including boiler men and caulkers who were hammering assemblies together. He was exposed to excessive and constant noise throughout his employment.

During Mr J’s employment, he was never provided with hearing protection and nor was he ever made aware of the damaged noise exposure can cause. Mr J now suffers from noise induced hearing loss and mild noise related tinnitus

WE Solicitors were able to negotiate an out of court settlement of £5,000.00 in relation to the personal injury suffered by Mr J.  If you or someone you know is suffering with hearing difficulties contact WE Solicitors on 0800 294 3065 to discuss whether you might be eligible to make a claim for hearing loss compensation.
