Mrs F Awarded £3,600.00

Mrs F was exposed to excessive levels of noise, whilst working in the weaving industry for a period of over 10 years. Mrs F worked for CV Menswear Ltd, which was also known as Carrington Menswear Division Ltd and Samuel Holden Ltd, during her period of employment. She was employed as a weaver throughout and exposed to the noise of Northrop looms, Saurer looms and Picanol looms, for the duration of her shifts.

£8,100 Compensation for Machine Operator

Mrs C wins  £8,100 payout after working  as a Machine Operator at Welwyn Electrics from 1956-1974 and 1976-77.  This company made electrical components and Mrs C worked on a Spiral Machine to sort the transistors and stamp their values on them.

Ex Osram Employee Wins Hearing Loss Claim

Mr T of Royton, Oldham was awarded £4,500 compensation for noise induced hearing loss. Mr T was employed by Osram Ltd. of Refuge Street, Shaw where he worked as a Production Operative for approximately three years from approximately 1995 to 1998.

Mr Bowers wins £2319.20 payout

Mr Bowers wins  £2319.20 payout after working initially as an Apprentice Riveter and as a Crane Driver for Appleby Frodingham/ British Steel/ Corus at the site in Brigg Road, Scunthorpe.  He was exposed to excessive noise from the the beginning of his employment in 1953 up until he was provided with hearing protection in or around 1973
