Mrs C wins  £8,100 payout after working  as a Machine Operator at Welwyn Electrics from 1956-1974 and 1976-77.  This company made electrical components and Mrs C worked on a Spiral Machine to sort the transistors and stamp their values on them.

This work was extremely noisy and permanently damaged Mrs C’s hearing, as she was never provided with any hearing protection.

This case was issued at court in order to ensure the time for making the claim did not expire but soon settled after we solicitors negotiated with the Defendant’s legal representatives.
