Hand arm vibration syndrome sufferer wins settlement of £2,750.00.

Mr Higham was exposed to excessive use of vibratory equipment, whilst working in the castings industry for a period of over 15 years. Mr Higham worked for William Lee Ltd of Callywhite Lane, Dronfield, Derbyshire, which is part of Castings PLC – the foundry group. Mr Higham was employed as a process operative and foundry labourer throughout. He was exposed to excessive use of pedestal grinders, 9 inch die grinders, straight grinders and linishing machinery.

Former Machine Operator for Tunstead Needlefelt Co Ltd, Mr Hall, Receives Compensation for Noise Induced Hearing Loss.

Mr Hall was exposed to excessive levels of noise, whilst working in the carpet weaving industry for a period of 5 years. Mr Hall worked for Tunstead Needlefelt Co Ltd of Haslingden, Lancashire. He was employed as a latex machine operator throughout and exposed to the noise of latex machines, air conditioning systems, compressed air machines, drills and machinery which was used for needling the carpet felt.
