Goodyear Workers Win Long Fight

WE Solicitors have now obtained tens of thousands of pounds worth of compensation on behalf of former workers at the Wolverhampton Goodyear factory who are suffering with noise induced hearing loss.

Noise induced hearing loss sufferer, Mr Alan Slater, wins settlement of £3,500.00 through WE Solicitors.

Mr Alan Slater was exposed to excessive levels of noise, whilst working for Royal Ordnance Factory, later taken over by BAE Systems Ltd. He was employed as an Apprentice, Mechanical Engineer, Machine Setter and Tool Maker and exposed to the noise of various machines including, Wyvomatic machines, Haesler Rotary Transfer, Schaublin machines, milling machines, grinders and lathes.

Cold Calling is Ruining the Profession

I was disappointed to watch BBC Panorama on 2nd July 2012 where it was revealed that the Central Claims Group, (CCG) an accident management company based in Bury, Lancashire has been allegedly cold calling clients, according to the programme makers, advising customers to make claims for noise induced hearing loss against former employers.  The program showed customers being duped into believing that CCG had legitimately obtained their data but in affect the call centre staff had simply called people at random out of the telephone book.
