Mr Richardson receives £5,000 payout

Mr Richardson receives £5,000 payout after working as a Back Tenter and Laminator at J & J Makins Ltd, Rochdale. Mr Richardson worked for this company for 6 years and was exposed to noise so loud it permanently damaged his hearing and he now suffers from tinnitus (a ringing in the ears).

Hearing loss in the Pottery and Ceramic Industry

It has recently been proven that working within the Pottery and Ceramic Industry can, in certain circumstances, cause former workers to develop noise induced hearing Loss.  Naturally there are differences from site to site and proof is dependent upon the length of service and the type of occupation undertaken whilst employed within the Industry.
