WE Solicitors Secured £3,000 for Ex Osram Worker

We Solicitors have secured £3000 for   S from Oldham, who suffers with work related hearing loss. Mrs. S developed occupational deafness over a period of several years, working as an Assembly Worker in the Pressroom for HM Stationary Office and a Tester, Solderer and Examiner for Osram Limited.

Mrs. S recalls being exposed to excessive noise levels as a result of the noise produced by Stapling Machines, Printing Machines, Guillotines, Folding Machines, Stitching Machines and Drilling Machines, during her employment with HM Stationery Office.

Mrs. S was also exposed to the noise of Sealing Machines, Capping Machines, the noise created on the Production Lines and the Glass Washers, whilst Osram Limited employed her.

We Solicitors succeeded in Mrs. S’s case by obtaining supportive medical evidence, confirming Mrs. S is suffering with noise induced hearing loss.

Mrs. S said, “My hearing has gradually been deteriorating over the years. I turn the television volume up really loud and struggle to hear on the telephone.”

“Looking back, I realised the environments in which I worked were horrendously noisy. I had to shout above the noise and lip read as a form of communication”.

Mrs. S was happy with the outcome of her case and impressed with We Solicitors’ expertise in the area.
