WE Solicitors managed to obtain £1,500 compensation for Mr F from Blythe Bridge, Stoke-on-Trent. Mr F was employed by Timpsons from 1961 until 1966. At Timpsons, Mr F was subjected to excessive noise from finishing machines, scouring machines, cutting machines and blake machines as well as noise from various tools. Even though the amount of compensation Mr F received was modest, this was still a good outcome in view of the amount of time that has passed since Mr F’s exposure.
WE Solicitors obtained supportive medical evidence from an Ear, Nose & Throat Consultant confirming that Mr F suffers with noise induced hearing loss.
This was a particularly difficult case as the Defendant initially attempted to argue that Mr F had not been exposed to noise levels high enough to cause damage. WE Solicitors did not accept their position and continued the pursuit to obtain compensation for Mr F in relation to his hearing loss.
