Payout for former Silk Weaver

Mrs C wins a case for noise induced hearing loss, against CE & K Angus Ltd, formerly of Fence, Lancashire.

Mrs C was employed as a silk weaver, from 1964 to 1965 and was exposed to the excessive noise produced by the hundreds of looms in operation, in her working environment. Mrs C was never provided with hearing protection or warned that exposure to excessive levels of noise could cause hearing damage.

Mrs C has already had a successful claim against Creban Manufacturing Ltd for noise induced hearing loss and has another claim ongoing, against Smith & Nephew Medical Fabrics Ltd.

Mrs C received £419.10 for each of her claims against CE & K Angus Ltd and Creban Manufacturing Ltd.
