Environmental Services Department Employee for Rochdale Council Receives £7,300 for Noise Induced Hearing Loss.

Mr Leeworthy has been employed by Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council, within the Environmental Services department, for a period of around 22 years; from 1992 to the present day. He started off working as a loader and was later promoted to chargehand loader. Mr Leeworthy was initially based at the Entwistle Road site in Rochdale, later moving to the Green Lane site in Heywood, Lancashire, where he is currently employed.

Former Employee at Huntsman Tioxide Achieves £4,000 Settlement for Noise Incuded Hearing Loss

A former employee of Huntsman Tioxide of Moody Lane in Grimsby was exposed to excessive levels of noise whilst at work.  This was a company that manufactured pigments. He was employed from 1979 to 2005. During this time, the company changed names several times and was variously called BTP, Tioxide Group Ltd, Tioxide Group PLC, Tioxide UK Ltd, Tioxide Europe Ltd and Huntsman Tioxide Ltd.
