Mr Rigg had been employed by Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council, for a period of around 10 years; from 2004 to earlier this year, in 2014. During this time, the company changed names several times and was variously called BTP, Tioxide Group Ltd, Tioxide Group PLC, Tioxide UK Ltd, Tioxide Europe Ltd and Huntsman Tioxide Ltd.
