WE Solicitors have secured £1500 for Patricia Martindale from Rochdale, who suffers with work related hearing loss. Mrs. Martindale developed occupational deafness over a period of several years, working as a Card Room Operative at Clover Croft & State Spinners Limited.

Mrs. Martindale recalls being exposed to excessive noise levels, as a result of the noise produced by Carding Machines, Drawing Machines, Slubbing Machines and Intermediate Machines.

Mrs. Martindale said, “My hearing has been deteriorating over the years. I have trouble watching the television and listening to someone talk at the same time. Unless I am face to face with someone, I have a lot of trouble hearing and understanding what is being said. I also suffer with ringing noises in both my ears.”
