HR Johnson Tiles

WE Solicitors have successfully represented a number of clients in relation to out of court settlements following claims for noise induced deafness, (industrial deafness) against their former employer H R Johnson Tiles Ltd based in Stoke. This company was a large, and at times a global employer covering several sites in the Staffordshire area including Brownhills, Highgate and Ravensdale.

This could be the tip of the iceberg as many former employees are unaware that their hearing could have been damaged as a consequence of noise at work. Many of these former employees may simply think their hearing loss is age related.

The machinery used in the process of the manufacturing of ceramic products has been proven in previous cases to cause damage to hearing over a long period of time in certain individuals.

As an example, Mr G Bowyer, an ex employee of HR Johnson, received £5,000 in compensation for his hearing loss as a result of exposure to excessive noise during his employment at the Ravensdale Works as an engineer. Mr Bowyer did not know he could make a claim for his loss until he was referred to this firm by a third party after discovering his hearing was affected as a result of noise exposure.

Some of the clients are willing to discuss their experiences with the paper and how they are dealing with the legacy of our industrial past, including the UK ceramic industry, which was a global success and as a result employed thousands of people.

We would be interested to hear from people who worked for the above entity in order to support cases as a witness and to clarify our understanding of the industry.

If the story is of any interest please contact Adam Bennett the solicitor dealing with this matter on 0161 683 3141. Mr. Bennett has been instrumental in recovering compensation for many ceramic industry employees affected by hearing loss and is continuing to act for many people who were employed in moderate to heavy industry.

THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE IN THE AREA THAT THIS WILL AFFECT!
