Mrs Susan F wins a £3,000 payout on behalf of the estate of her husband Denis who sadly died before his hearing loss claim was resolved. Denis worked as a Back Man/Knotter for Carrington and Dewhurst Limited from 1965 to 1971 and Dorma (CV Home Furnishings Ltd) from 1973 to 1983. He was based in the weaving shed where he was exposed to excessive noise from the looms and it was his job to change the beams.
This was a particularly difficult case as the Defendant’s argued that the claim for money to purchase hearing aids was no longer necessary and that there was a lack of evidence due to Denis’s death.
We are sure that Denis would have been pleased that his wife will benefit from the compensation he was entitled to.
“Thank you so much for all your help and patience with me, you were very understanding at sych a difficult time for my family and myself. Thank you once again.” Sue F.
