Mr Atkins wins  £4,763.53 payout after working as a Factory Electrician at Asset International (later called Armco Ltd) from 1963-1997 at their premises in Stephen Street, Newport.

 The Defendants provided copies of documents showing the noise Mr Atkins was exposed to reached up to 105 decibels. The machines in the factory included metal forming machines, 400 tonne presses, rolling machines, galvanising plant together with press brakes and drum corrugators.
