Our client was exposed to excessive levels of noise, whilst working at Robert Fletcher & Sons in Greenfield from 1979 to 1998.

 Throughout his employment with the papermaking company Mr O was exposed to the noise from beaters, choppers, pulpers and slitters.

 Mr O said ‘the noise was terrible we would have to shout or use hand signals to colleagues standing just a couple of yards away.’

Mr O contacted WE Solicitors after seeing an advertisement in his local newspaper about former workers at Robert Fletchers claiming for noise induced hearing loss and in January 2009 was diagnosed as suffering with industrial deafness.

Mr O was very happy with the settlement he received without the need to go to court.
