Dear Natalie,
The final cheque, gladly received, brings to a satisfactory close my claim for industrial deafness. There were many instances along the route to this successful outcome, when both my husband and I harboured serious doubts as to whether, after such a very long period of time, my early employer would ever acknowledge liability.
In fact, the initial response was that the company had no record of me ever having been an employee. And, later, when the firm’s present day Insurance Company argued that as they were not responsible for the firm’s insurance cover during my engagement and could not consider my case for compensation, things looked pretty hopeless.
None, however, including me, were then aware of the determination and resolve of WE Solicitors. Dismissing these obstacles as minor impediments, after a thorough investigation and the tracking down of the branch of the company reponsible and going to trace the original insurance company, WE came up trumps.
The total payment of £6,000 has been a godsend to us as pensioners getting by on little more than the State Pension.
A small but next-to-new model has replaced our old car, long past its sell-by-date, and we have already booked a holiday for next year.
Let me close this letter on a less formal note by saying Natalie, we are enternally grateful for what you achieved for us, many, many, thanks.
Yours most sincerely
Mrs S A Currie
